questions

Do I need Apple Music?

Yes, Apple Music is required. Spotify and YouTube Music don't let other apps play their music, so Golden can't support them.

The visuals are off the beat.

Apple Music is DRM-protected, so Golden can't hear the song itself. It works out the beat from each song's preview, which gets close but isn't always exact.

How do I change the look?

Double-tap the cover for the next look. The theme button changes the colours; dynamic takes them from the album cover.

Does it work on an iPhone that doesn't fold?

Yes, on any iPhone with iOS 27.1 or later.
